i started out with tesco but after having to pay that sort of monies direct line was offering that no claims discount for named drivers so i went with them under dads name that took it to i think £1150 which was better now im paying like £750 f/comp so it aint too bad but
its a real stinger living in london they think your loaded and can pay the earth for insurance.
as for petrol i use shell v.power which is a high octane fuel and it all depends how you drive the car. i can run for 2weeks on a full tank driving steady with a few muck abouts but i can eat a tank in a day if im on a mission

mine averages at about 34 MPG, mixtue of motorway and normal driving, its not that bad considering its a GTibenducky wrote:thanks for that everyone.
I wouldnt go for a 106 anyway as they are higher insurance group and cheap build (as everyone says).
as for insurance...yep its a bit of a stinger. cheapest quote ive had is 1600 pound on my mothers name when I'm 18. And i live in a low level crime area. what insurance company where u with polo_gti21?
another question...what are these little machines like on fuel? heavy?
at the moment i drive a 1.3 turbo diesel corsalol...so anythings going to be heavy compared to it but sacrifices must be made for my gti
.
thanks
