Hello iichel, I know. If you take a look at what I explained a little higher in the first post to which I added pictures, you will understand. There are two situations. Theoretically, the second situation (BCM MAX) should have worked.iichel wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 8:34 am I don't think your BCM is capable of powering the LED for the bixenon headlights. You'll need 7H0 937 089 minimum (best is 7E0 090)

blah, blah, blah...
Concept:
As iichel mentioned, the BCM 6R0 cannot control the 6R bi-xenon headlights. Proceed with making a campfire with it or sell it for a very reasonable price (its advantages are that it manages the CCS and central locking for remote controls).
Procedure:
- Install the BCM 7E0 and install the wiring harnesses according to the KUFATEC guide... it will be necessary to install some more wires, but not at this time.
- New provisional BCM 7E0 coding, based on the Autoscan you posted.
3CB02DBF28A10000002800C17C0F9CD17AC847BB60071040200000020000
There's a methodology to this new coding because I won't be asking questions about lights other than the bi-xenon headlights. I can imagine what's going on, but a new autoscan will tell us what we need to know.
- With VCDS go to Autosan, click GW Installation List, click in clear all DTCs (whatever can be erased).
- Important: Verify that this BCM 7E0 has adaptation channels 53 and 54 set to '0'. Proceed to set them if not.
- Perform a functional test of all the lights without exception, that is, in addition to the 'normal lights'
- You can repeat the same functional test after disconnecting and reconnecting the negative battery terminal for at least 10 seconds. Do this if any lights aren't working properly (at this point, this is still normal).
- Report the results with a new VCDS autoscan to debug errors due to missing wiring or coding (small and simple tasks). Don't panic just yet.
Note:
This BCM 7E0 may (or may not) have to be parameterized for the position/side/parking light values. According to results.
By the way, what is this on your Autoscan:
Subsystem 3 - Part No SW: KU 0-K U02 7. HW: KU0 -KU 027 .0
7.10
Serial number: KU0-KU027.07.10130
Coding: 333036
Take it easy, we'll be here to see what happens.
BTW2: cheer our eyes with a couple of photos of that 2501/2500 with that engine.

Re: Polo 6r GTI - Bi-Xenon installation Issues
Hello, I finally managed to solve what you sent me. I did everything you said and it works with one exception. The fog lights in the headlights. I want to clarify that I had the OEM bar with the fog lights positioned at the bottom. Now the wiring is there, but it is not connected to any bulb because of the WRC front bumper. I still connected a bulb and when I put "Fog lights" light switch on = the bulb lights up on the old OEM installation but not in the headlight. Shouldn't the fog lights on both the headlight and the projector?ciclo wrote: Fri May 30, 2025 4:53 pmHello 2501/2500lvu89 wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 7:53 amI'm waiting with interest. The result for the above configuration:
1) Light switch 0 = LEDs and high beam work (shutters and lights).
2) Light switch "position lights" = LEDs and high beam work.
3) Light switch "on" = LEDs still on, xenon headlight comes on, high beam works fine with lights (Bi-Xenon) and fog turn signals work if I signal.
4) Light switch "fog lights" = LEDs still on, fog lights in headlight do not work, high beam works fine with lights (Bi-Xenon).
I am attaching the scan after this installation as you asked and some pictures of the beast.

Re: Polo 6r GTI - Bi-Xenon installation Issues
Thanks for showing us the beast.
Everything's great, except for the SCLs (static cornering lights) and the license plate lights... as expected.
The lights you're referring to as fog lights in the headlights are called SCLs. Info:
viewtopic.php?p=493598#p493598
Easy to fix...
SCLs:
Since your original installation had SCLs in the fog lights via fuse SB57 -according to your fuse box-, all you need to do is transfer the positive wires from your old fog lights connectors to the 14 terminal in T14 connector on your bi-xenon headlights (T14/14).
Example image (cornering lights only - blue lines). https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... -One-hbY_Q
LPLs:
To fix the license plate lights problem, you need to run a NEW wire from T73b/7 to the positive terminal of both license plate lights. Cut the original wires for the license plate light supply (be careful, it's still live and must remain that way, and must be carefully insulated) and connect the new wire to both license plate lights. It's not necessary to remove the bumper, it can be done in the trunk area by removing the rear trim.
Example image:

Do these two simple tasks with the negative battery terminal removed!!
Please tell us the results. Thank you.

Re: Polo 6r GTI - Bi-Xenon installation Issues
oops! Something is wrong. Now, checking the SB57 7.5A fuse I noticed this:
It seems to have heated up/melted. Why?

Re: Polo 6r GTI - Bi-Xenon installation Issues
This may be due to having both bulbs/lights powered by the same line/wire, both the old fog lights and the new SCLs.
How they work is defined in the BCM coding... If bi-xenon headlights are installed, it should be coded as 'front fog lights with SCLs not installed' (I coded that way).

Well the old fog lights are connected to the SB54 fuse according to this diagram.ciclo wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 12:29 pm This may be due to having both bulbs/lights powered by the same line/wire, both the old fog lights and the new SCLs.

So I don't think that's the reason. I'm afraid it will get worse. What should I do?

Re: Polo 6r GTI - Bi-Xenon installation Issues
Obviously, I don't know what "real" modifications you've made to your 6R's wiring; that's something only you can know.
In this image you showed of your SB fusebox
https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?p=608311#p608311 , fuse SB54 is missing!, but fuse SB57 is present... and then you show a picture of the SB fusebox with the SB54 fuse installed and the SB57 slot with superficial burns
https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?p=608382#p608382 ....
I have some fortune-telling skills, but I didn't think they were necessary here.
Because of the front R bumper, you currently don't have front fog lights, so the original wiring or wiring them through fuse SB54 doesn't make sense under any circumstances. This wiring is through the light switch, without BCM control and, of course, without SCLs.
The wiring for the SCLs in the bi-xenon headlights must be done with three wires.
- one wire for the BCM power supply from fuse SB57.
- and two wires from the BCM to the bi-xenon headlights.
And in your particular case (front R bumper) you must remove the T17/8 wire from the light switch connector and insulate it appropriately.
The following diagrams will make it clear.
L

R

+30 (15A fuse)

Do it this way, and your SCLs will be operational.
