Key Pairing

Not sure if anyone can help... I have been quoted £46 to have new keys added to my car (just the immobiliser needs to be programmed I think) This seems a little steep, but the real issue is the timing, I cant be without my car during the week, no one will give me a courtesy car, and everyone has tol...

MCD has locked me out....

My MCD is asking for a code, I dont have one, I think a general code calculator will work.

Should I just post the seriel number here? Does anyone know of a good calculator?

Happy Easter, does anyone know how to remove the dashboard of the 9N (I need to get access to the retro-fitted remote central locking box someone else fitted)

Hi, I have the MCD in my 2003 9N and it works a treat, the advantages are that you can still play audio CDs in it if you take the navi CD out (although I put an iPod kit in) and this one has traffic alerts over TMC! It looks much more subtle than the MFD so you will be safer from all but the most co...

I had a similar problem, and tactically shot some WD40 into the joins on the lifting system, seems to have worked a treat.

thats the one I think i have, its a G and it is awesome. In test you do get a great deal more range with G card and N router, but as you say for the 4x range you need to wait for 802.11n on client side. As far as standard confirmation goes, I have had N at my home in suffolk for ages when belkin fir...

I would recomend pipex! As to the wireless problem, 3 solutions in my opinion: 1. Get a wireless router, they are very good! I have a netgear one that is used non-stop and has been for 8 months and has only need to be reset once, and has never dropped a connection. If you get one of the modern 802.1...

Tiscali charge low rates because they use their own switches on the exchange, switches that are (if i may be so bold) s**t. They are a fine service, as long as not too many people in your local area like downloads, then they are rubbish, and will drop connections. They also use bandwith scaling if y...

interesting, i had a 9n3 as a courtesy car that did have total-closure, and as ponited out had the brilliant feature of putting the key in the door and turning back opens all of the windows! security! So it must have been added to the 9n3 (this was a car supplied in the UK, by the nice people at a V...

if someone near you has a vag-com you can program in new keys (transponder chips) with it in the Golf, so i presume the same is true for the Polo, but you can check with ross-tech. The keys you can get cut for quite cheap if price is an issue, I got one done at timpsons for a fiver, and whilst his f...
