The best thing I did after getting my brand new 9N on March 2003 was trade it in . Kept the car 13/14 months then traded it in as it was a pile of s**t !!!!!! . My last 5 cars have been Polos but the 5th was without doubt the last VW I will ever buy . The heap of junk was never out of the garage ...

ps .... My mate bought a spanking brand new Golf 4 weeks ago a week later the engine seized completley ...... VW quality ? . VW were rated number 22 in the charts this year ... how things have changed ,
Next year they will be even lower if they dont pull their socks up !!!!

A little bit of advice dont believe a word anybody says to you at Crow Road from the girls at reception right up to the general manager ( Arnold's son ) .

Cant wait until next year when they survey the 03 and 53 Polos .

That's what me were thinking!

I've come up with a little theory and I reckon the 'mechanic' when he was putting the dash back together has headbutted it and broke it which is why i've got to wait for a new one to be delivered.

I could be wrong but why should I start believing what they say now ...

I havn't really had any problems with my polo, very happy with it.
The newer 03/04 ones do appear to be built a little better.

I bought my 3 pot polo brand new in March 2003 the service light came on along with the " bing " at 8000 miles , cant tell you how much the service cost as my dealer done it for nowt as compensation for all the trouble Id had with the car .

My dash dont rattle at all but I have other rattles , Ive had 3 sets of bushes on my Polo the latest were fitted 2 weeks ago and they are away already and they are modified bushes mark 2 which were only released just over 2 weeks ago .

My daughter the little spoilt brat didn't want a polo but I took my mate to see it and he bought it for wait for it .................. £350 ...... a bargain !!!

How exactly is it knackered? Squeaking again?

First of all I dont have Squeaking / Creaky suspension like many other 9N owners .
I will try to explain as best as I can , firstly after you brake or change gear or jolt the car in any way you get movement and a clonking noise from the suspension at ...

Sorry the bushes have been fitted to car for 1 week not 2 weeks and they are knackered . Been on the phone all day yesterday to VW customer care and my Dealers . VW have promised me a phone call next week to let me know what they are going to do now . Wife was in tears the other night over this car ...

Well thats 2 weeks tomorrow that suspension bushes mark 2 have been fitted and guess what ...... the front suspension is knackered again !!!!!!!!!!! .
Now let me recap ive had the factory fitted bushes replaced by modified bushes mark 1 which were replaced by modified bushes mark 2 . So in the year ...
