At first I thought it was even unnecessary or that it didn't add much to driving, now I miss it every time I drive a vehicle that doesn't have it.
I'm really happy to have done this project on my 6R.
With the original sw 805 of my IC the BSD activation in the Settings menu is present from the factory, as well as in the Assistants menu.
(see my previous post here for the values of the known eeprom addresses).
There is some eeprom address related to Side Assist that we all miss (I refer to the study in the Excel file that is on the net).
However, if you have the VAGmm007 (or similar -Iscancar-) you can do this

I did this and 'everything' continued to work just as well as with the previous eeprom values.
Many more eeprom addresses are modified than those already known, so first do a reading/backup of the IC eeprom with the current values, but you already knew that.

Hello all, So it have been a while since I finished retrofitting Kessy, and the only thing that wasn't in place was the ELV, it simply doesn't fit on my T5 steering column, I knew this from the beginning,
In that time I was intending to swap my steering column with the vw up electric steering, my old steering switch won't fit in the wv up steering column, but the ELV was perfect alternative
so I decided to put off the steering retrofit until I finish Kessy retrofit
this time the wire modification was the easy part, the hard part was to place the steering column itself in my T5
nothing was plug and play, I had to swap the coupling from my t5 to the new steering column, also the steering holder,
the steering column should be placed in the same angle was the old one,
unfortunately I didnt remember to take a pic after I have done the modification to the steering wheel, maybe later I will add them
this was the final result after 3 modifications
the second big issue and question, will the electric steering work with the power steering together, or do I have to figger out a way to disconnect the power steering
as I tried to do basic settings the electric steering started to work for a 10 seconds, but after that it stops and I had A new fualt (crash fault)
in the beginig I suspected that the electric steering was faulty, so I must try another one before I do anything..
after trying another steering I had the same faults, so my last hope was to disconnect the power steering belt (temporarily) and try to do basic settings..
the Suprise was that it did work finally, every thing it ok, even after returning the power belt, the electric steering still works,
I still have one fault that appeared after basic setting that I have to figger out how to solve it
Next step it to connect A5 and try to activate lane assist and sign assist, I know it won't be easy..
my A5 is alredy in place, I had to replace my windshield a couple months ago, so I took the chance and made my magic
I have a new toy that I was putting on the shelf long time ago, I feel its a perfect time to install it :
I have tried it before, but it seems not happy with my pq acc buttons, According to Egor, it likes MQB ACC buttons..

That sounds logical, regarding BCM change, I am not 100% sure its required, but according to Egor, he flashed his bcm to 1S0 but lane assist didn’t work after bsic settings, and there was not faults at all, But after he tried to connect the A5 to power train can-bus, lane assist started to work, but this will cause that the getaway won’t see A5 at alltil3tsio wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 8:36 pm The fault was about lane assist and a missing message from the camera.

This will lead us to a question, what is missing from vw up that we don’t have?
It probably could be a parameter in the can getaway it self, and maybe something in the cluster, but sense the bcm have the getaway in it, and its the responsible for transferring can massages
I would highly suspect it to be the missing part
