EPS is the same, A5 camera is the same. So the question is gateway or dashboard? Or both of them at all? We'll find out soon =)

Hello all, yesterday I have a free time, so have started to try to calibrate A5, the light in my work shop was too bright so I had to dim it
After a couple of try's I got this faul :-
when I saw it I double checked the glass transparency in front of the camera
I could say its not 100% clear, Saw I have decided to change my front windshield to T6.1 with Camera bracket, then modify the bracket to fit 3Q0 Camera
This will take some time

Regrading Adapting 1S0 BCM :-
this is a scan after coding and adapting key to the new BCM :-
this First two things that I had immediately noticed that the MFSW is not working at all, According to egor LC 29,06 needed to be checked in coding for mfsw to work
after some try's it seems impossible to activate it
the second thing kessy had a fualt with kessy wake-up line (short to ground)
the only thing that maybe a good sign was the fault the can getaway, it seems that this BCM had a totally different Eeprom
at this moment I decided to Compare the Pins On both 7E0..H84 and 1S0..H84
I was chocked
A lot of missing pins..
I think this is a dead end for this BCM, 7E0 is way alot better to stick with
this is a scan after coding and adapting key to the new BCM :-

the second thing kessy had a fualt with kessy wake-up line (short to ground)
the only thing that maybe a good sign was the fault the can getaway, it seems that this BCM had a totally different Eeprom
at this moment I decided to Compare the Pins On both 7E0..H84 and 1S0..H84
I was chocked

I think this is a dead end for this BCM, 7E0 is way alot better to stick with

A new Trim for steering column :-
this trim is from VW Ateron PR: 3G0858559D
the reason why I choose this trim is because it had palce for the adjustment handle (similar to T5) as the handle in my current steeing column will disturb the dash lower cover
I hope is will fit perfectly or I will have to make my own handle

Sine MFSW via Lin horn had worked with Egor after he flashed 7E0 BCM to 1S0, this means that the flash itself is not missing the data only the physical pins, So I am thinking maybe we should try flashing 7E0 with 1S0 SW then copying EEPROM from the original 1S0 BCM to the new one..
Anyone had experience with reading full EEPROM from a PQ25 BCM??
I know VCP or odis-E could help

replacing the front windshield :-
after replacing the windshield I had modified the camera parameters in adaptions, the basic settings fault had disappeared
the Suprise was that the lana assist started to work on the dashboard CAnbus, but sadly there is no notification on the dashboard about lane assist at all

Can you clarify :
1. with what bcm / software combination did you manage to succeed
2. How do you control the assistant, I suppose you wired a button to act as the assistant button on UP!
3. Do you have the appropriate indicators soldered in your cluster ? Is your eeprom activated for the assistant as on pq35 ?

I see that you have an HBA mirror, do you know if it is possible to use HBA from the A5 camera instead of the mirror?
I am asking because I am exploring mounting possibilities for the A5 camera in my Toledo,
unfortunately, there is no windscreen for my car with a camera mount and I do not know if something else fits, so I will I have to improvise.
I got a "universal" mount from Ali that I can stick lower than the mirror but, in this way, my HBA’s mirror camera view would be blocked and I would have to replace it with a non-HBA one.

You could consider extracting the camera lens module out if the whole assembly and extending the ribbon tape.

Can I ask you about the wiring of the control buttons on this steering wheel?
I also installed the same steering wheel as yours on my 2014 T5 Caravelle.
The difference is that mine is a DSG gearbox. Can you help me set it up?
