Re: New user, new Polo GTi
I don't often feel the need to type OH MY GOD, but this is one of those occasions. Thanks to jammydodger who suggested it, I checked the suspension and the plastic spacers for shipping were still in there! This is appalling - safety concerns, vehicle damage concerns, me hating the car concerns. Wes...

Re: New GTI
Got mine booked in for the stuck trip reset button, they think they'll have to replace the dash so will see. Asked them to look at the squeaking at low speeds, not expecting them to come back with anything but will let you all know if they do

Re: App Connect
Just to add a bit more confusion, my device no is 3Q0035874A. I have AppConnect factory installed. So does that mean there are 3 versions? One with no option to AppConnect, one with the option to activate with a code, and one with AppConnect factory installed? Edit: Mine is a Polo GTI, built w/c 5th...

Re: App Connect
My understanding is your dealer would have to enable it for a cost, I don't think you would get it enabled via a software update

Re: App Connect
I think there is some conflicting info on here, as far as I'm aware the AppConnect is a £100 optional extra.
Some have suggested that if you have the Nav package then you get AppConnect. I don't think there's anything to that effect on VWs website though so you may struggle to argue the case.

Re: New GTI
I've only noticed the ESP light on the dash a few times, mainly when cornering and lose a bit of traction. I do get wheel spin in 1st/2nd when really giving it the beans, especially in the wet, but I can't say I've noticed the light when that happens. Not been looking for it though, will keep an eye...
