Have you got equal thread at the top of the coilies, where it comes through the boot.. just a guess, they may be different and causing you the problems.

Ahh nice one! Is that when displaying speed already? Yep. But wen you exit youl notice the temp is then displayed in degrees F. so press econ and auto again to change back to degrees C! There was an old thread on here that linked to a website that described all the channels and a useful how to guid...

If you press Econ and auto together it changes kmh into mph.

The headlights need adjusting manually then vag com is used to remember the position you leave them in, because on the Gti they reset themselves. In your case yours proberbly wont reset so you could just try adjusting manually using the adjusters on the top of the lights.

Check the wiring in the black tube between the car and door when you have the door open. One of my wires had snapped there so i used a connctor block to solve the problem.

Try TREVOR @ VOLKSPARES on 02087787766. I got my box off them about 7/8 months ago. He seemed to know a lot about the gti gearbox problems. I havn't had any problems with my new box (fingers crossed). Cheaper than ACE gearboxes as well.

Nice Car! Your front bumper looks very rounded tho. Seems to have less definition than other smoothed bumpers I've seen.

Delock the handles, lower it a touch more with spacers and it'l look even better.

Try volkspares on 02087787766, they deliver you a recond box and pick your old one up at a later date. £450 + vat, Tony from there seemed to know his stuff. ive had my box off them 6 months naw and all seems fine.

VW changed mine without taking the bumper off, he said you just need to remove the indicators first. he still said it was a bugga of a job tho. he didnt remove anything from the bay either.
